Knowledge

The sixth day is always preparation day for the eternal weekly Sabbath.  It is this day that we prepare for both the sixth and the seventh day.  This pattern set up at creation has never changed.  Another pattern of this is when the children of Israel, on the first Passover in Egypt, were commanded, not suggested, to sacrifice the lamb without spot or blemish at exactly twilight on the fourteenth day of the first month.  They did not realize at the time that this act of obedience was actually the preparation for them to be led out of captivity by our Creator at the midnight hour on the fifteenth day.  What they did at twilight would be realized at midnight!!

It is the same for the sixth day.  What we do today will be realized on the Seventh day…Shabbat.  Just as that is the case, what we do right now in this life is a preparation and a prophetic portent for the day coming when the Messiah returns and we are gathered together with Him.  We get a weekly rehearsal to help us KNOW and UNDERSTAND this truth about the Kingdom of Elohim.

Philippians 1:9-11; “9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment [another word for understanding], 10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Messiah; 11 having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Yeshua Messiah, to the glory and praise of Elohim.”

What a powerful prayer Paul sends to this congregation!! It is packed with seven things we need to KNOW and walk in as true believers in Yeshua!!!

  1. Love[covenant loyalty] abounding more and more
  2. Realknowledge
  3. Alldiscernment
  4. Approve things that areexcellent
  5. To besincere
  6. To beblameless
  7. Filled with thefruit of righteousness

Psalm 119:66; “Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in Your commandments.” May we all pray this for ourselves and one another!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled preparation day!!!
