Power
In 1 John 5:1-4 it says, “1 Everyone who believes that Yeshua is the Messiah is born of Elohim, and everyone who loves the Father also loves the one born of Him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim: when we love Elohim and keep His commandments. 3 For this is the love of Yah, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome, 4 because everyone born of Yah overcomes [with His strength and power] the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith.” Another word for Power is Victory. Yeshua asked a question in Luke 18:8, after sharing another parable with His disciples, He said, “…when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Our Faith is THE thing that allows us to have, handle and hold the Spirit of Power…or have Victory. Without it, the Scripture says, it is impossible to please Elohim. (Hebrews 11:6). When you get time please read the whole chapter of Hebrews 11 and see how our patriarchs overcame and stayed the course. It’s a real faith builder!!
How do we receive this faith in order to have the VICTORY or Spirit of POWER, especially in the time that we’re in globally?
Romans 10:17 tells us, “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Messiah.” The word hearing in this verse has the idea of understanding, perceiving what is said. From this verse we see that it takes being a believer in Messiah, which lifts the veil, so that we can understand [hear] the Word and then faith will come. It never ceases to amaze me how the Word continues to build from one concept to another to give us a clearer understanding of how Our Creator designed us to walk and live on this earth in order to be a light here, as well as inherit the world to come.
It is very apparent that EVERY truth and the Spirit of YHVH can never be had or understood without reading and doing His Word. That’s the key to our faith!!
It is our prayer that the Holy Spirit would ignite in us a DESIRE to read and obey His Word; in turn we can trust that He will, as we seek the truth, give us the POWER to continue and UNDERSTAND. Then our FAITH will be STRENGTHENED [another word for Power] to overcome every temptation and adversity that we face.
Psalm 21:13; “Be exalted, YHVH, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power.” May we be MORE than overcomers in THIS life as we yield to the Spirit of HIS Power and not lean on our own strength!!!
