Spirit of YHVH

As we’ve mentioned before, when we begin to understand the design and function of the Tabernacle and Temple, we will then begin to see how it is a visual for what is taking place in our spiritual lives.  The outer court, holy place and holy of holies represents salvation, water baptism, Spirit baptism, etc…As we read the verses below let’s allow the Spirit of YHVH to connect our understanding to the image our heavenly Father gave us concerning our growth in the Spirit once we have been born again.

Acts 19:1-7

1 It happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples.

2 He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” [Remember the brazen altar, where the sacrifice for sin is made, is in the outer court and represents our salvation and entrance into the house of Elohim.] And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.”

3 And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” And they said, “Into John’s baptism.”

4 Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was coming after him, that is, in Yeshua.”

5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Master Yeshua[By way of reminder: this represents the water laver in the outer court and would be the next step after receiving Yeshua as Messiah.]

6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. [One cannot be born again without the Spirit of Elohim.  When we receive salvation we become new creations in the Messiah by His Spirit.  This gets us into the house.  But there is another level of immersion of His Spirit found in the Holy Place.  This is what Paul is teaching these disciples.

7 There were in all about twelve men.

It is so necessary that we allow the Spirit of Elohim to immerse us each and every day and this will lead, guide and direct us in all that is pleasing to our heavenly Father!!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
