Counsel

We should often be reminded that the Seven Spirit of YHVH, which are found in Isaiah 11:1-3, are of the upmost importance to a believer desiring to walk an upright life that pleases our Heavenly Father. Each day we come before Him in prayer it would be of great value to our walk to pray that we be filled and directed by these Seven Spirits of the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodesh).  As we do, the definitions to each of these Spirits of YHVH will expand in its meaning and understanding. The Spirit of Counsel can be understood, as we’ve mentioned before, as counsel, advice, advise, plan, etcbut it can also by definition include the words commandsinstructionslisteningorders, etc especially in context to walking out and heeding the counsel that the commandments give. This is being filled with the Spirit of Counsel. In this context we’ll continue looking at what the Scripture teaches about the wise versus the fool.

Proverbs 12:25-28 says,

25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but a good [Tovword makes it glad.

26 The righteous is a guide to his neighbor, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

27 A lazy man does not roast his prey, but the precious possession of a man is diligence.

28 In the way of righteousness is life, and in its pathway there is no death[When we walk in the way of the Torah through salvation in Messiah, it leads to righteousness, which leads to life.  In turn we can then be used to speak life into someone else who needs it.]

1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.”

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 says,

Two are better than one because they have a good [Tov return for their labor.

10 For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.

11 Furthermore, if two lie down together they keep warmbut how can one be warm alone?

12 And if one can overpower him who is alonetwo can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly torn apart.

May we always be a life giving source to someone who needs it through our words and our actions!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
