Wisdom

The Spirit of Wisdom guides us on every level of our lives when we look to the Holy Spirit for the wisdom we need; and we can be assured that the Spirit will ALWAYS lead us to the Word because this is the heart and mind of YHVH and Yeshua our Messiah.  The verses that we will read today makes it clear that the commandments are what makes us wiser.  Within every statute, commandment, law, or testimony is an element of our Creator and therein lies the patterns in which we are to live in His kingdom.  The more we discipline ourselves to read His Word the wiser we will become to function as He’s designed us too and the delight for it will develop.

Psalm 119:97-99 says,

97 O how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever mine.

99 I have more insight than all my teachers, for Your testimonies are my meditation.

Psalm 119:15-16 says,

15 I will meditate on Your precepts and regard Your ways.

16 I shall delight in Your statutes; I shall not forget Your word.

Psalm 119:174 says,

long for Your salvation [Yeshua in the Hebrew] , O YHVH, and Your law is my delight.

Psalm 119:24 says,

Your testimonies also are my delightthey are my counselors[We’ve shared this previously but it’s worth repeating. The word testimonies in this verse is the Hebrew word Edah.  It’s from the word that means “…always of laws as divine testimonies and witnesses.”  It’s also from the Hebrew Root meaning congregation, assembly, company, people.  How many witnesses or people do we need for a testimony to be established according to the Torah? Two or three.  In Hebrew thought each verse in the Word has multiple levels of understanding, therefore another way of reading this verse with the Hebrew meaning is, “Your people are my delight; they are my counselors.”

Psalm 119:92 says,

If Your law had not been my delight, then I would have perished in my affliction[His Torah can motivate us to LIVE and not die when we choose to delight in it, for the promises that are within them are ours to take hold of and receive.]

If we lack the desire to read and meditate on His Word, much less delight in it, let’s ask in prayer for our Heavenly Father to grant that to us today.  As we discipline ourselves to do it anyway, in time, we will begin to recognize the Spirit of Wisdom operating in our lives.

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
