Fear of YHVH
Shabbat Shalom!! We look forward to gathering with the Treasured Ones today!!
Today we will continue looking at what the rewards, requirements and promises are for those who Fear YHVH.
Psalm 128:1-6 says,
1 How blessed [Happy] is everyone who fears YHVH, who walks in His ways.
2 When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you.
3 Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine within your house, your children like olive plants around your table. [The Archeological Bible Commentary states that “The Olive tree is a symbol of long life and productivity.”]
4 Behold, for thus shall the man be blessed who fears YHVH.
5 YHVH bless you from Zion, and may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
6 Indeed, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel!
Psalm 112:1 says, “Praise YHVH! How blessed [Happy] is the man who fears YHVH, who greatly delights in His commandments.”
For those who Fear YHVH, walk in His ways and greatly delights in His commandments, they will be:
- Happy
- Fruitful
- It will be well with them
- Children will be like olive plants around your table
- Blessed
From these few verses above, we have the promise that there is a great reward for those who choose to honor and revere YHVH!!
