2 Corinthians 7:1 says,  

​ ​Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of Elohim.

 1 Peter 1:13-16 says,

13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Yeshua Messiah.

14 As obedient children, do not be conformed to the former lusts which were yours in your ignorance,

15 but like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior;

16 because it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”

The way we perfect holiness is through the Fear of YHVH.  When we reverence our Creator through the life He has laid out in Scripture, it brings us to a mature setting apart that is to be found when we are growing as believers.  When we have the Fear of YHVH we are pleasing to the Father and position ourselves to receive the blessings He desires to bestow on us.
