Power
The elements of the earth represent different aspects of our Creator and Elohim. A couple of those elements are the mountains and seas which represent strength and power; Why? Because the Creator who made them is girded with strength and allows these earthly concepts to demonstrate it. When we see these elements in their strength it is to remind us of our great Elohim and Father who is mighty and in control of all of our circumstances. Therefore, we can trust Him with our lives and know that He will see to it that we are also girded with the strength and power we need for everything we face. May the verses today encourage and strengthen our hearts and build our confidence in the only strong One who governs it all!!
Psalm 93:1-5
1 YHVH reigns, He is clothed with majesty; YHVH has clothed and girded Himself with strength; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.
2 Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting.
3 The floods have lifted up, O YHVH, The floods have lifted up their voice, The floods lift up their pounding waves.
4 More than the sounds of many waters, Than the mighty breakers of the sea, YHVH on high is mighty.
5 Your testimonies are fully confirmed; Holiness befits Your house, O YHVH, forevermore.
2 Samuel 22:1, 40 says,
1 And David spoke the words of this song to YHVH in the day that YHVH delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and from the hand of Saul.
40 “For You [YHVH] have girded me with strength for battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me. [The Father is faithful to give us His attributes if we will look to Him and not our own strength.]
Psalm 95:1-5 is confirmation that we have every reason to praise and trust our Creator!!
1 O come, let us sing for joy to YHVH, let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, let us shout joyfully to Him with psalms.
3 For YHVH is a great Elohim and a great King above all gods,
4 In whose hand are the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains are His also.
5 The sea is His, for it was He who made it, and His hands formed the dry land.
The rock, the depths of the earth, the peaks of the mountains and the sea are all symbols of YHVH’s strength and power. May we ponder the power that is within our great Elohim and trust that He has not withheld it from those who look to Him for their ability.
