Acts 13:16-17 says,  

​16 Paul stood up, and motioning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear Elohim, listen: [Who is Israel? Those who have the testimony of Yeshua and keep the commandments of Elohim.]

17 The Elohim of this people Israel chose our fathers and made the people great during their stay in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He led them out from it.

Deuteronomy 7:6-11 says,

6    For you are a holy people to YHVH your Elohim; YHVH your Elohim has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
7   “YHVH did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,

8   but because YHVH loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, YHVH brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

9   Know therefore that YHVH your Elohim, He is Elohim, the faithful Elohim, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;

10 but repays those who hate Him to their faces, to destroy them; He will not delay with him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face.

11 Therefore, you shall keep the commandment and the statutes and the judgments which I am commanding you today, to do them.

We are to be a set apart people unto YHVH.  We demonstrate this through a proper Fear of YHVH. This is a reverence that is demonstrated by our love (covenant loyalty) to Him through our obedience to all that He has commanded us.  This is the fruit of a righteous fear that we are to have in our lives.
