Counsel

There is a very common verse that most of us heard at the beginning of our walk.  It was and is very eye opening in our NEED to understand that the beginning of Scripture is VITAL for us to be able to understand the end of Scripture…the “New” Testament, as well as understand the end of times.

That verse is from Isaiah 46:10, I’m also going to add verse nine to it.  It says, “9 “Remember the former things long past, for I am Elohim, and there is no other; I am Elohim, and there is no one like Me, [We need to always pay attention when there is a doublet…there is emphasis on the point when this is done] 10 Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done, saying, ‘My purpose [this is the same Hebrew word for Counsel] will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;” This is telling us that IF we’re going to truly understand our Creator and what He thinks and does, we NEED to know the patterns of what He DID.  This is found in the beginning, the Hebrew Scriptures, better known as the “Old” Testament. However, there is nothing OLD about these Words to Life.  They are eternal and our counsel for every age. We will lack vision (the ability to see the truth) and die if these Scriptures are not part of our everyday lives.  These are the Words our Messiah and all those after Him taught and lived by.  I mention this, not because you personally may not believe that, but to give us concepts and counsel on ways to help teach our children, family members and others that we come in contact with…it sharpens our apologetics.

Let’s tie in something Paul said in Philippians 1:6 to Isaiah 46:10.  Philippians 1:6 says, “…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will continue to perfect it until the day of Messiah Yeshua.” As I mentioned above in Isaiah 46:10 the Hebrew word for Counsel is used in the word Purpose‘My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure’;” This is a PROMISE!! If we feel stuck, discouraged or don’t know what our purpose is, be encouraged that YHVH will bring it about and complete it as long as we continue in His way and His counsel!!

Proverbs 19:20-21, “20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days 21 Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the purpose of YHVH will prevail.” Another confirmation!! J

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
