Spirit of YHVH

Guard and entrust are the key words for the day.  The Spirit of YHVH gives us the enablement to do that which we’ve been called to do.  In fact, it is by submission to The Spirit that we are able to walk in the responsibility we’ve been given to guard that which has been entrusted to us.  If we will guard what has been entrusted to us, then we will not be taken off track by fear of what YHVH is doing in our lives that doesn’t seem to make sense; nor will we run after or trust in our own determinations.  In light of this, we will read the words of encouragement that Paul gave to Timothy.

2 Timothy 1:8-14 says,

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Master or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of Elohim,

9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Messiah Yeshua from all eternity,

10 but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Messiah Yeshua, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel,

11 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher.

12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day.

13 Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Messiah Yeshua.

14 Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.

 1 Timothy 6:20-21 says,

20 O Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you, avoiding worldly and empty chatter and the opposing arguments of what is falsely called knowledge”— 21 which some have professed and thus gone astray from the faith. Grace be with you. [Pride is often at the root of one who constantly has opposing arguments and provokes others with them.  To be clear, seeking for truth through questions is not prideful unless there is a wrong attitude of contention in the heart.)

1 Peter 4:19 says, “Therefore, those also who suffer according to the will of Elohim shall entrust their souls to a faithful Creator in doing what is right.

It’s vital to our walk that we guard the truth and entrust ourselves to the Holy Spirit.  Yeshua demonstrated this perfectly at the darkest hour of His time on earth as a man.  In Luke 23:46 it says, “And Yeshua, crying out with a loud voice, said, “Father, into Your hands I commit [Entrust] MY spirit.” Having said this, He breathed His last.” David prayed this same prayer in Psalm 31:5, Into Your hand I commit [Entrust]  my spirit; You have ransomed me, O YHVH, Elohim of truth.” This is also a messianic prophecy pointing to Yeshua who would become the ransom for all people.  When those who were standing there that day heard Yeshua cry this out, the Holy Spirit would have directed the minds of those willing to “hear” back to this Psalm.  They would then relate Yeshua to David and realize that this man on the torture stake is the prophesied One that would come from the seed of David. Once Yeshua resurrected three days and three nights later, they UNDERSTOOD that this WAS the Man!!! A faithful Creator that continues to connect what He said, to what He’s currently doing in our lives, can be trusted!!  We may not understand it now, but we will if we do not waver.  May the Spirit of YHVH give us great peace that we can entrust our very lives to the One who fashioned us!!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
