26th March 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~3rd Day-Counsel

Counsel
From the beginning of time when the world was created, Adam was given counsel to guard and keep the garden. Everything he needed to know in order to do this was given to him. This counsel was not a suggestion and heeding it would lead to eternal life; not heeding the counsel would lead to death. As most of us know, the latter is what happened. However, the mercy of our Creator wants to dwell with us and gave us a way to bring us back into the garden with Him. This way is through the blood of Yeshua the Messiah and then as believers walking faithfully in the counsel of His Word. From beginning to the end we see this in our Scriptures. Today we will see this truth revealed in the final pages of our Scriptures in Revelation 22.
Revelation 22:1-9 says,
1 Then he showed me a river of the water of life, clear as crystal, coming from the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb,
2 in the middle of its street. On either side of the river was the tree of life [Back to the garden], bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 There will no longer be any curse; and the throne of Elohim and of the Lamb will be in it, and His bond-servants will serve Him;
4 they will see His face, and His name will be on their foreheads.
5 And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because Adonai Elohim will illumine them; and they will reign forever and ever. [Just like in Genesis 1:3 when Elohim said, “Let there be light and there was light” before the sun, moon and stars were created on the fourth day. Yeshua was the light then and when all things are said and done and we enter that eternal day, He will also be that light.]
6 And he said to me, “These words are faithful and true”; and YHVH, the Elohim of the spirits of the prophets, sent His angel to show to His bond-servants [Bond servants are those who follow the counsel of all that the Word speaks.] the things which must soon take place.
7 “And behold, I am coming quickly. Blessed is he who heeds the words of the prophecy of this book. [walks in the counsel of the Scriptures]”
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things.
9 But he *said to me, “Do not do that. I am a fellow servant of yours and of your brethren the prophets and of those who heed the words of this book [walk in the counsel of the Scriptures]. Worship Elohim.”
May we be encouraged today to walk in the Spirit of counsel that is found in the Word of YHVH. We won’t know what to do if we’re not reading and listening to it daily; just as we eat natural food every day, we need to eat our spiritual food every day. The Word is our food and we will grow if it is applied in our lives.
