Counsel
Who or what are we consulting to get the counsel or information we are searching for? If we are mindful to allow the Spirit to direct our paths each and every day, He will see to it that we are brought to the one or the thing that will be the answer we need. It might not be what we want, but it will be what we need. In the verses below YHVH is bringing correction in order to draw His people back to repentance so that they will be saved from destruction.
Isaiah 45:18-22 says,
18 For thus says YHVH, who created the heavens (He is the Elohim who formed the earth and made it, He established it and did not create it a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited), “I am YHVH, and there is none else.”
19 “I have not spoken in secret, in some dark land; [Implying that He did not use the methods of the mediums or spiritist.] I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, ‘Seek Me in a waste place’; I, YHVH, speak righteousness, declaring things that are upright.
20 “Gather yourselves and come; draw near together, you fugitives of the nations; they have no knowledge, who carry about their wooden idol and pray to an Elohim who cannot save. [YHVH detests mixed worship.]
21 “Declare and set forth your case; indeed, let them consult together. [Counsel together to bring me your best argument you have for idolatry.] Who has announced this from of old? Who has long since declared it? Is it not I, YHVH? And there is no other Elohim besides Me, a righteous Elohim and a Savior; There is none except Me.
22 “Turn to Me [Hebrew word meaning to turn your face and look at Him. An idiom that you’re giving Him your obedience.] and be saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am Elohim, and there is no other.
Four times in these verses above YHVH says that there is none else except Me!! He is driving home the truth that these other gods they are consulting and worshipping are nonexistent.
Isaiah 44:6-8 says,
6 “Thus says YHVH, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, YHVH of hosts: ‘I am the first and I am the last, and there is no Elohim besides Me.
7 ‘Who is like Me? Let him proclaim and declare it; Yes, let him recount it to Me in order, from the time that I established the ancient nation. And let them declare to them the things that are coming and the events that are going to take place.
8 ‘Do not tremble and do not be afraid; have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any Elohim besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.’”
We can have confidence that the Spirit of Counsel will declare what the Father is and will be doing in the earth; will we have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to His congregation?
