“The dust of the earth was used to express abasement, smallness and insignificance in the Old Testament. In this passage the dust of the nations makes no significant difference in the scales. The Babylonians took no notice of a little dust on the scales when meat or fruit were being weighed.”
30th September 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~2nd Day-Understanding
Bread and food many times in the Word are used as metaphors concerning the Scriptures. We cannot live without either one. We need both while on this earth. However, if we eat only natural bread and don’t eat the Spiritual bread through obedience to it, we will not truly live.
29th September 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~1st Day-Wisdom
… from Proverbs 22:22-23. It says, “22 Do not rob the poor because he is poor, or crush the afflicted at the gate; 23 For YHVH will plead their case and take the life of those who rob them.”
28th September 2024: Our Daily deLIGHT~7th Day-Fear of YHVH
Today we will finish up with Psalm 35. As we conclude this chapter, may we be inspired to have a proper Fear of YHVH to pray as David prayed when heavy persecution comes as a result of being His servants.

Today we will continue through Psalm 35 in order that we may gain the knowledge that our founding fathers studied and received as a rhema for their mission.

Yes, today, we’re going to look at Psalm 35, but first I must say that I cannot resist mentioning that with the adoption of Ephraim and Manasseh, the sons of Joseph, by Jacob/Israel that we went from twelve tribes to thirteen. I also cannot resist to go on and say that the numerical value for the Hebrew word for Love which is Ahava, equals thirteen.

Have you ever wondered why this imagery was used to describe the work the Spirit will have in our lives? The IVP Commentary sheds great insight into these metaphors. “The concept of a heart of stone would have had a couple of associations in the ancient world, mostly from Egypt. First of all, in Egyptian beliefs it was the heart that was weighed in judgment to determine whether or not the afterlife could be attained.

The Scripture references many things as light!! The Torah (Yah’s teaching and instruction) is light, Yeshua is the light and those who are His disciples are the light. All of these shine forth in a dark world!!
