Power

The captivity to Babylon for breaking the land Sabbath is coming to a close and the remnant of Israel are coming back to the land. As you will read in the passages below, YHVH always prepares the place and the hearts of His people with the Spirit of Power and Strength to gather back to the place where we belong and do what we’re supposed to do.

Ezra 1:1-6 says,

1  Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, in order to fulfill the word of YHVH by the mouth of Jeremiah, YHVH stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he sent a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying:

2 “Thus says Cyrus king of Persia, ‘YHVH, the Elohim of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah.

3 Whoever there is among you of all His people, may his Elohim be with him! Let him go up to Jerusalem which is in Judah and rebuild the house of YHVH, the Elohim of Israel; He is the Elohim who is in Jerusalem.

4 Every survivor, at whatever place he may live, let the men of that place support him with silver and gold, with goods and cattle, together with a freewill offering for the house of Elohim which is in Jerusalem.’” [This has always been the pattern that the people of the

community give in order to have a place of worship.]

5 Then the heads of fathers’ households of Judah and Benjamin and the priests and the Levites arose, even everyone whose spirit Elohim had stirred to go up and rebuild the house of YHVH which is in Jerusalem.

6 All those about them  encouraged them [In the Hebrew encouraged them has the meaning of strengthened their hands. It was the body giving and working together that gave them the strength and power to complete the task given by YHVH.] with articles of silver, with gold,

with goods, with cattle and with valuables, aside from all that was given as a freewill offering.

Nehemiah 6:9 says, “For all of them were trying to frighten us, thinking, “They will become discouraged with the work and it will not be done.” But now, O Elohim, strengthen my hands.” There will be people or circumstances in our lives that will try to prevent us from staying the course and completing what the Father has started in our lives; but if we do not yield to it or allow it to discourage us, Elohim will give us the strength to accomplish what He’s called us to do.  Philippians 1:6 says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Messiah Yeshua.

Isaiah 35:1-4 says, 1 The wilderness and the desert will be glad, and the Arabah will rejoice and blossom; like the crocus 2 It will blossom profusely and rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of Carmel and Sharon.
They will see the glory of YHVH, the majesty of our Elohim. 3  Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. 4 Say to those with anxious hearttake couragefear not. Behold, your Elohim will come with vengeance; the recompense of Elohim will come, but He will save you.”

May we receive today the Spirit of Power and Strength to stay the course, set the example and strengthen the weak!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
