Knowledge

Preparation Day for the weekly Shabbat is to be entered into with joy and delight because of what we’re preparing for and WHO we are preparing to meet“I delight to do Your will, O my Elohim; Your law is within my heart.”  Psalm 40:8.  It is such a privilege to be awakened to the truth of gathering together with our brothers and sisters for the purpose of pure worship to the Holy One of Israel!! May you all have a blessed and joy-filled prep day!!

Proverbs 18:15 says, “The mind of the prudent acquires knowledge, and the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.” We acquire this knowledge by reading, listening, and studying the Scriptures, as well as asking the Holy Spirit to lead, guide, and direct us to understanding this knowledge.  It’s amazing the different ways that He leads us!!  When we’re seeking His knowledge it can come by revelation, but it will ALWAYS line up with His Word, it can come in conversations with others, teachings that “just happen” to be taught at the time we’re wondering about it, etc…When we have our ears married to the Spirit, He will make sure that we learn of His ways accurately.

Colossians 2:1-3 says, “1 I want you to know how much I am struggling for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me face to face, 2 that they may be encouraged in heart, knit together in love and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of Elohim, namely Messiah, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.” These verses, along with former ones that we’ve touched on, have a fire building in my bones as we continue to realize who we are and what is ours as believers in Messiah. This truly is power-packed when you “Selah”, stop and ponder, what this is actually saying.

Paul wants these congregations to:

  1. Be encouraged in heart
  2. Knit together in love
  3. Filled with the full riches of COMPLETE understanding so that we may KNOW the mystery of Elohim…Paul gets specific and says, “namely Messiah”.
  4. In Messiah are hidden ALL the treasures of wisdom and knowledge

When Yeshua ascended to return to His Father in heaven, He sent back His Holy Spirit on the day of Shavuot so that He would be IN us and AMONG us!! When we receive the impact of these truths and walk in them, we will be granted the things promised in His Word.

Have a blessed and shalom filled preparation day!!!
