Wisdom

The wisdom we need is from above and should not be from our own opinion.  It’s imperative that the grid we take our thoughts and opinions through is the Word and the patterns that lie therein!! If we don’t read the Word, and equally as important, don’t apply the Word, we will end up making judgments that are far from wisdom and the truth.  As we often hear in messages, the easiest person to deceive is ourselves.  That’s why being connected to a strong community will give us accountability and keep us on track.  We often end up on the fringe when we are not diligent in the Word and prayer, as well as having strong, healthy fellowship with one another.  In Romans 11 Paul is teaching the congregation in Rome about being grafted into Israel.  It’s another pattern of the wisdom and necessity to be connected.  We won’t make it otherwise.

Romans 11:25-27 says, “25 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery—so that you will not be wise in your own estimation—that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; 26 and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written, “THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION, HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB.” 27 “THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS.”

Romans 12:9-16 says, “Let love be without hypocrisyAbhor what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; 11 not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Master; 12 rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, 13 contributing to the needs of the saints, practising hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. 15 Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. 16 Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.”

Proverbs 3:7 says, “7 Do not be wise in your own eyesFear YHVH and turn away from evil.”

Romans 12 has a valuable list that can help us dwell in community with harmony:

  1. Love without hypocrisy
  2. Abhor what is evil
  3. Cling to what is good
  4. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love
  5. Give preference to one another in honor
  6. Be diligent
  7. Fervent in spirit
  8. Serve Yeshua
  9. Rejoice in one another
  10. Do not be haughty in mind
  11. Associate with the humble
  12. Do NOT be wise in your own estimation

The Spirit of Wisdom will always lead us to the Word and connect us to those who follow it!!!

Have a blessed and shalom filled day!!
